Thank you for your feedback Sandy! In doing the blurb comparison, I had “Bourne Identity” at 97 word blurb, and others in same genre, based on Amazon rankings, with blurbs at around 216 words. So, I aimed for less than 200 words.
Declan/Mac learns about the missiles pointed at his family home , which triggers him to trust Tom Cat as a legit source of info. Then: Evidence of conspiracy happens. Then: He negotiates for his family. Then: Bad Guys Close In. So now: He doesn’t know where can he do the most good. Every time I tried to introduce the idea that there is a secret bunker and his family may or may not be there, I ended up with too many words.
So… I take this as elements of the hook that I need to work on. Yes! Thank you
