What I’ve seen in other groups is that they implement a kind of ‘everything else’ or ‘misc’ forum. That quickly fills up too, of course, but you can then look at the topics that are most popular there and use that to decide on the smallest number of new forums (fora?) you might want.
For example, if the ‘balancing writing with life’ topic takes off, we’d need a forum for that!
