You know I could probably write a book about it.
Iceland is one of the most amazing places I’ve visited. The weather was unseasonably bad when we arrived, but we managed to get as far as Stykkishólmur where the guy at the hotel must have thought we were vagrants and let us sleep in the boiler room for free.
Other memorable moments include being shown to a room in a B&B in Reykjavik and finding someone asleep in the bed, and our car sliding backwards down a steep hill after a lorry shed a load of fish heads.
I loved the wildness, walking on the lava fields, and visiting Strokkur and Gullfoss.
