It took me over two decades to save up the money to do it, but about five years ago, I had floor-to-ceiling bookshelves (complete with rolling ladder — cliche, but I can’t help it) built into the living room of my house. That is the hub of my home I can see the books from my kitchen when I cook and from my couch when I sit down to write. And the bonus is when I’m bored, I randomly pick an obscure tome off the shelf and escape from reality for a little while. It’s the perfect setting for writing a book. 🙂
