Hi all,

I’m Mike – originally from Cambridge, UK, but now live in North Wales in the foothills of Snowdon. In a couple of months I’ll be moving to live in France… quite a big, scary jump!

My favourite genres are fantasy, SF, a bit of crime and historical… I read a lot of middle grade and YA books too across these genres and more.

Favourite authors: JK Rowling, Neil Gaiman, David Almond, Ray Bradbury, Anthony Horowitz.

In the academy I’ll be working on a new middle grade fantasy/action series.

My biggest writing goal is to write The Next Big Thing, a generationally epic story that gets kids reading around the world. I’m one of those cliched people who was a reluctant reader at 11, found Harry Potter, and became a reader. I’m lucky enough to be a published author, and now want to focus on being the best one I can be.
